Your Lightning Process® Journey

The Lightning Process® (LP) has three phases – the audio program, the training, and follow-up support. The three phases are described below, including when to contact me if you are interested in taking the training.

Phase 1: Listen to an Interactive Audio Program

Your first step is to listen to Phase 1 of the Lightning Process® – an interactive four hour audio program, which will introduce you to the core concepts of the LP and help you to start to make change with the tools of the LP. It contains useful exercises to get you thinking about your issues in a different way, helps you decide if the LP is right for you, and prepares you for the training.

You will learn:

  • What the LP is and how it works
  • About the science and research behind the LP
  • The importance of neurology in change
  • How to recognize when your nervous system is switching on unhelpful pathways that keep you stuck
  • How to switch on new healthier neurological pathways
  • The importance of language in health and change and how to use it to move forward
  • The power of becoming a compassionate and inspirational coach for yourself
  • How the LP has helped others with similar issues to you and how it could help you to resolve your issues too

The changes you experience from this stage of the LP will give you an introduction to what you can achieve through continuing on to take the training.

There are currently seven different audio versions available – so download the best one for you for just $19.99 (£15.99) from the link below to Phil Parker’s LP website. If what you would like to work on is covered by more than one of the versions or is not covered by any of the versions, just choose the most relevant one for you at this time. Each version provides the same basic information then adds a bit more about the condition you selected and various related success stories.

After you have listened to the audio program, contact me so we can arrange a call or Zoom session to chat about what is going on in your life, what you would like to change, whether the LP training is suitable for you, and if this is the right time for you to take it. You are also welcome to contact me before you have listened to the audio program if you have any questions.

Phase 2: The LP Training – Basic Details

Once you have listened to Phase 1 of the Audio Program and spoken with me, the next step is to take the LP training.

The training is an interactive teaching experience, offered via live Zoom sessions.

It is run over three consecutive half-days – each session lasting approximately 4-5 hours.

The training is usually taught in a small group with other participants (up to 5 total) with similar issues to you (possibly with parents/care givers observing, if needed).

It has been designed to be engaging and keep your attention and the concepts, skills, and tools easy to understand and apply. It is not vigorous or physically demanding and can be tailored to meet your capabilities.

As your trainer, I will use a coaching style that encourages self-reflection, while being caring and compassionate, and will guide you through the materials using a range of slides, stories, videos, and handouts.

On Day 1, a number of key concepts are explained, discussed, and practiced within the training – all of which are designed to encourage an understanding of how we can use the brain to make changes to our body’s level of health.

These topics include:

  • How important the words we use are in activating brain pathways
  • How movement can change brain activation and health
  • How to develop a supportive internal dialogue

The practical teaching elements include mental rehearsal techniques, the use of simple postural exercises, movements, and gestures (including a “stop” process to interrupt unhelpful neural pathways), and self-coaching tools that help to steer the brain towards pathways that stimulate better physiology and recovery.

Each day some simple tasks are given, including self-devised goal setting, that help put the tools into practice and ensures the main teaching points have been understood.

On Days 2 and 3, some time is spent reflecting on successes and addressing any issues you may have when using the tools outside of the training (this is why it is run over three consecutive days) and further training and practice are provided.

The training will be run over Zoom. If you are unfamiliar with Zoom, I will show you how to use it – it is free to download the software – and help you practice using it in a pre-training call.

You will need:

  • Access to the Internet
  • Use of a printer – to print out the handouts (these will be sent to you in advance of the course)
  • A computer with a webcam (most newer ones have this built-in) and a well-lit room so I can see how you are doing during the training
  • An empty space to walk around in (it will need to be at least 4ft x 4ft) that is visible via the webcam
  • A place where you will not be disturbed so you can concentrate on the training

Phase 3: Support

Taking the LP training is just the start of your journey.

Once you have completed the training, you will have a robust set of tools to use to achieve your goals and maintain the changes you have already started.

Included in your training, are three hours of additional live Zoom sessions with me (and the other members of your training group) so that I can continue to support you in making change and helping you with any challenges that you encounter.

You will also receive a one hour audio support program to listen to after the training to keep the knowledge and tools you have learned fresh in your mind.

There are several other support structures in place for you as well on Phil Parker’s LP Website.

  • Free podcasts and newsletters
  • LP graduate website
  • Social media resources
  • Post-course downloads and books to support your learning

Many clients also periodically take a routine refresher training which is approximately three hours long.
